#BoycottDelta goes viral after Muslim YouTuber Adam Saleh kicked off Delta airline for speaking in Arabic

Adam Saleh, a Muslim American YouTube personality, has published a video which he claims shows him being kicked off a Delta Air Lines plane after he says he had been heard speaking Arabic on the phone to his mother.

The YouTube personality has a large following with over 2.2 million subscribers on his online channel.

As Saleh explains the situation on camera, Delta airline staff can be seen standing closely behind him.

At one point, other passengers on the plane can be seen waving him off as they shout “bye.”.

One passenger did bravely stood up and made a stance against the discriminative behaviour of Delta Airlines.

Another tweet backs up the action:

Saleh does not say at what airport the incident occurred but subsequent footage suggests he was at London’s Heathrow Airport.

Saleh said he was travelling to New York and has been tweeting updates since the incident took place.

Middle East Eye contacted Heathrow but a spokesman mentioned that the incident fell under Delta’s airline policies and was not the responsibility of Heathrow.

Social media users have started using the hashtag #BoycottDelta in reaction to the video.

Delta employees have been accused of discriminating against Muslims in recent years.

In August, an Ohio Muslim couple said they were removed from a return flight from Europe after an airline employee allegedly singled them out because of their appearance.
