A Letter From A Japanese Muslim Prisoner Who Embraced Islam Last Year

A letter was recently spotted from a Japanese prisoner who embraced Islam last year, whilst inside the prison cell. Subhan Allah, indeed guidance from Allah can reach no matter where one is.

The brother stated how he managed to fast the whole month of Ramadan this year, his first time ever, again inside the prison. Here is the letter and the translation:

PrisonerLetter

As I had to finish all the food served, leaving the food constitutes breach of the rule which would result punishment for me. I felt a little bit sick with a full stomach on the first day.

From the second day, however, I could control the hunger and I am still keeping till now.

What I found in my first fasting of my life was that human beings may be getting a kind of biological rhythms by having three times of meals a day.

It felt incredibly long spending a day from morning till sunset without taking meals.

Especially, working days were the worst.

However, after overcoming hunger, the meal to break fasting was exceptionally good. I couldn’t help but feel the power of Allah’s wisdom.

I am trying to perform Salah following the Salah guidebook from the first day of Ramadan.

I have learnt all of the processes of each Raka’ah – Qiyam, Ruku, Qiyam, Sujud.

Please, make Du’a for this brother and all other brothers and sisters who are in prison. They become the forgotten people of the Ummah. Yes some may done wrong, but may have repented from their wrongs and thus they deserve our Du’as even more. Some are being kept in the prison cells unjustly too, as we all know.

May Allah grant ease to all the prisoners in the world and guide those who still feel lost and are astray.

Alhumdulilah, this is just one of many examples showing how Islam is spreading in Japan:
