Two British girls confirmed that they had been influenced by the humility and conduct of the Egyptian professional footballer Mohamed Salah, who plays as a forward for Premier League club Liverpool and captains the Egypt national team.
Two girls convert to Islam during a visit to Aswan in Egypt. The two sisters, Amy and Nikki, said,
“We were influenced by the morals of Muslims in Europe and the humility of Mohamed Salah.”
With these words, they expressed their love for the Islam and their happiness in embracing Islam.
Egyptian news website Al Youm Al Sabea quoted two sisters as saying that their decision to embrace Islam was without coercion from anyone and after proper study of the matter.
Amy and Nikki are two sisters from England and reside near the English city of Liverpool and used to visit Egypt for tourism.
In their homeland, they heard about the Islamic religion and that have been influenced by the morals of Muslims residing in Europe and their friendliness to others, in addition to morals and humility of the Egyptian footballer Mohamed Salah.
The two sisters began to think about converting to Islam, especially that their visit to Egypt for the purpose of tourism established for them a positive image of Islam and Muslims contrary to what was presented in some media about Islam and the attack on it.
This prompted the two sisters to convert to Islam in their country first and then declare their Islam during their visit to Egypt.
Abdeluaziz Al Idrisi, one of “Idrisi Ashraaf” in the Kom Ombo, Aswan governorate, Egypt, said that the hospitality hall of “Al Ashraaf” in Hegaza village, received the two British sisters during their short visit in Aswan, where they expressed their desire to declare their conversion to Islam at his hands.
Al Idrisi explained that the two sisters “Amy” and “Nikki,” had told him that they had converted to Islam about a year ago in Liverpool, England, and that they had come to declare their Islam in Egypt, after they were in a sightseeing tour in Hurghada and headed to Aswan for a short tourist vacation. He added,
“The sisters are familiar with the foundations of the Islamic religion and its five pillars and they believe in “Al Ghaib” (the unseen).
They also memorize a number of hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and a number of “Surahs” from the Holy Qur’an in Arabic, such as “Al Fatihah”, “Al Ikhlas” and “Quraish”.”
