Murderer Lee Amos – leader of the feared Manchester mob the Gooch Gang – is serving life for murder and attempted murder.
Gangland enforcer Lee Amos is serving a minimum of 32 years for murder and attempted murder.
The gangland enforcer, 40, banged up in the notorious Whitemoor jail in Cambridgeshire after being convicted over the drive-by slaying of Tyrone Gilbert, 23, in 2007.
And now, seven years into his 32 year minimum sentence, it has been revealed that Amos has become a Muslim.
But insiders say the conversion may well be a trick to get better conditions for his remaining 25 years behind bars.
The brutal underworld figure is now entitled to demand Halal meat and can consult prison staff about how his food should be cooked.
