“Our mosque is your home”, says a mosque in Florida, providing shelter from the Hurricane

Islamic Society of Tampa Bay Area broadcasted to the public on Friday to let the people of Florida know its doors are open for those looking for shelter amid the devastating Hurricane Matthew.

“Our mosque is your home”

Such hospitality from the mosque included providing the public with blankets, pillows and food for people who would like to use the mosque as a temporary shelter.

The heartwarming gesture by the mosque was welcomed by the non-Muslims:

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“The best of people are those that bring most benefit to the rest of mankind.”

Another awesome aspect about this 32,000 square feet mosque is that they built (are still building) the mosque purely on people’s money, not by loans from the banks, so not building by interest money.
