We Shall Remain Here Steadfast And Bow Down Only To Allah, Says An Elderly Syrian Man

The people of Syria continue to suffer, but remain strong.

The oppressed yet blessed people of Syria have suffered of the hands of Bashar al-Assad and his allies for more than 5 years. Yet we will not find a group of Muslims more firm and reliant upon the decree of Allāh Azzawajal than them!

Here is an inspiring video showing an elderly Syrian man giving a powerful speech which ought to leave the believers with goosebumps.

And never think that Allāh is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare [in horror]. [1]

It’s moments like these make you remember what Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) had said about the people of Al-Shaam, which includes Syria, Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon. He (ﷺ) made a special Du’a:

O Allāh bless us in our Madīnah and in the measurements of our city, and bless us in our Shām. [2]

He (ﷺ) spoke about a special light over al-Shaam:

I saw the angels carry a beam of light, and they placed it in arḍ’l-Shām. [3]

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said, “There shall always be a group of my ummah rightly guided, clearly upon the truth, attaining help from Allāh.” He was asked, “Where can I find them?” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said, “They are in the land of Shām and the surrounding land of Shām.”

From this ḥadīth, Ibn Taymiyyah and others have derived that there shall always be a group of rightly guided Muslims – not just Muslims but rightly guided Muslims and Muslims at the vanguard and Muslims who are blessed to be a upon the guidance of Allāh and to be helped by Allāh because the ḥadīth says that Allāh will help them and the naṣr of Allāh is coming upon them. The ḥadīth says they will clearly be upon the truth until the commandment of Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’āla (glorified and exalted be He) comes.

We continue to invoke Allah to ease the affairs of the people of Syria and the like whilst deal with the oppressors swiftly.

You can not make Dua for them but also help them financially.
