Author of the famous book Hisnul Muslim (Fortress of the Muslim) Shaykh Saeed al-Qahtani passes away in Riyadh after battling cancer

Inna lilhi wa inna elayhi rajeoun. The Saudi-based author of the famous book ‘Hisnul Muslim’ – ‘Fortress of the Muslim’ passed away early morning of Monday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia after a prolonging ailment.

He was diagnosed with fourth-stage cancer in early September as reported by The Mili Chronicle.

Shaykh Saeed bin Ali bin Wahf al-Qahtani was an author, lecturer and a religious preacher based in Riyadh province of Saudi Arabia.

He is famous throughout the Muslim world for his contributions in the field of Islamic literature.

He authored variety of short books in multiple languages to benefit the Muslims worldwide. Some of his books are

  • Fortress of the Muslim, Invocations from the Quran and Sunnah,
  • Farewell of the Prophet to his nation,
  • Impact of Usury on the society,
  • Asking for Rain,
  • Belief of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamah,
  • Evil of the Tongue,
  • Mercy to the Universe,
  • Qiyamul-Layl, and many others.

Muslims across the social-media expressed grief and supplicated for the author.

His funeral prayers is scheduled after Asr prayers on Monday at al-Rajhi Mosque in Riyadh.
