On 19th January 2018, Muslim Council of Hong Kong was privileged to have a vital reminder given by a young Chinese brother Isa about how we should cherish and evaluate our time being spent.
He explained fittingly the importance of time from the Quran, the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the companions (may Allah have mercy upon them) and the other great righteous early Muslims.
Alhumdulilah it was great to see more than 30 brothers and 30 sisters attending this gathering, and it was even greater to see them from different age groups and ethnicities.
Brother Isa Ma is the ex-vice chairperson of University of Hong Kong’s Muslim Students Association and is currently attaining Master of Education in Youth Studies. He’s a deep thinker and is eager to share his thoughts and knowledge with others.
One of the key messages he gave during the talk was ❝We all have the exact same time, it's not like I have 25 hours and you have 24, it's about how we use those hours, those minutes and those seconds either seeking the pleasure of Allah or His displeasure.❞
We ask Allah to forgive everyone who was part of the gathering as the people came seeking knowledge of His deen and we ask Him to continue to make us part of such gatherings again only for His sake.
